This week I had the privilege of interviewing a foster parent who has been doing it for over ten years. She was a single woman who decided to foster and eventually adopted four children "so far" were her exact words. She is now married and has only one foster child along with her adopted children. We spoke about her story, the different counties and their foster care protocol, and of course the foster care to adoption journey. Her insights were invaluable and many confirmed some I already had. She has a life book for one child, scrapbooks for all the kids, treasure boxes for each child, and a separate binder for important documents. She goes above and beyond the call of duty.
